Nos despertamos en la mañana de hoy con la noticia de que una de las cadenas de nuestra catedral ha sido sustraída.
Y hablando de cadenas, en su acepción como uniones o enlaces, traemos a colación el acto que tuvo lugar ayer tarde en el Paraninfo de la Universidad de Sevilla, y al que acudió como invitado nuestro Presidente, José Mª del Nido Benavente, así como Santiago Balbontín, José María del Nido Carrasco y Piedad Parejo, como fué la presentación del libro “ Orígenes del Fútbol Sevillano” del que es autor Juan Castro Prieto.
Una obra en la que, partiendo del año 1870, se nos muestra la conexión existente entre los personajes del fútbol sevillista del 1890 a 1915. Un magnífico trabajo de investigación.
Un libro al que todo sevillista deberá hacer un hueco en su biblioteca para descubrir de dónde venimos.

Es un libro que merecerá la pena tener. Muchos de los que pregonan desde la palmera que su club es histórico, deberian ponerse de pié para hablar del SFC
